Two miles long and full of fun, Salthill Promenade overlooks the beautiful Galway Bay and provides the perfect backdrop to an afternoon stroll. There’s a diving platform if you’ve got your trunks with you and you’re feeling brave or if you’d rather keep your feet on dry land there are plenty of benches to watch the world go by.
Aran Islands
The three Aran Islands are know as Inis Morm Inis Meain and Inis Oirr which mean Big Island, Middle Island and East Island. Famous for their geographical location, historic positioning in Ireland folklore and cultural heritage, the Aran Islands are a must see for anyone travelling to Galway.
