ol Donyo is a safari lodge situated in a vast conservation area of the Maasai people in southeast Kenya. It is perched on the wild pitches of Chyulu Hills National Park, offering a spectacular view to the legendary Mount Kilimanjaro that rises to the west.
Once it was built in 2008, the lodge became part of an important conservation tourism project. Some of the earnings from this business go to the local Maasai community, as a support for protecting the natural beauty of these lands. It is a good example of cohabitation between safari enthusiasts, the Maasai that live here and the wild environment.
ol Donyo Lodge has the capacity of hosting 20 guests in traditional houses constructed from natural materials, with every suite having its unique design. The interiors were created with a great attention for details, offering a comfortable and light luxurious decor.

The lodge also offers the chance to stay in roof top “star-beds”, a thrilling sleep in the wild African night. Eight of the ten private cottages have their own outdoor swimming pool with background view.
There is a large number of activities that can be done here: authentic Maasai cultural visits, wildlife viewing and tracking, horseback riding, mountain biking, day trips to Amboseli National Park situated nearby and scenic air flights. ol Donyo Lodge offers a good starting point for sarari trips, a chance for guests to witness large animals such as such as elephants, leopards, lions, in their natural habitat.
